Dozens of history lovers spent a delightfully sunny Sunday afternoon Dec. 2 visiting five historic homes, a church and the former Medina fire engine house as part of a fundraising tour hosted by the Medina Community Design Committee. The tour began at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where guests were given a reusable bag containing a program telling about the different stops on the tour, a sticker to wear on their clothing to indicate that they were a paid guest, footies to protect the floors of the homes, and a map of Medina indicating the location of the homes.

Starcher, 63, has been a Medina resident for 40 years. He was a police officer for the City of Medina for 30 years and retired as a lieutenant in 2013.

A Cuyahoga County court has ruled in favor of the city in a lawsuit over a fence separating two commercial parking lots.
